I'd like to believe the second section is not a narration from you, the author, but from the wolf coat, he might know victor so well a this point, being always covering his back..and since he got such easy "purpose" he gets a lot of free time to ger into those wonderings and reflections...

Well, that depends. On the one hand, the wolf was also from Victor's time, so it wouldn't have much of a different perspective on things than he does.
On the other hand, if it's true that Victor did take it with him, and he's been keeping it in a "safe space", then it would have a lot of time to reflect on things—in particular all the (usually nasty) things it's been forced to witness on the occasions when Victor takes it back out...
