WC 21C127 'Taw Valley' departing Hampton Loade, Sept 2023.
*After spending the previous year in purple livery, 34027 was painted into wartime black and renumbered into it's Southern Railway numbering of 21C127. Dispite the loco (or any of its classmates) never carried this livery the reason for this was due to 'Taw Valley' coming to the end of it's current boiler certificate. Rather than waist money painting her back into brunswick green and lining it, it was decided to paint it black and giving it a wartime look like the Q1's (West Country's and Battle of Britains weren't built till after the war in 1946)*
