"Dr. Starline, Revenge Log: Update 08-08-202X.
The good Doctor is gone now; I have seen that clearly. How fleeting that dream was, to be his respected Ringleader keeping his 'Eggmanland' in line among other loyal Egg Bosses... but it seems we had underestimated the tenacity of rabble like these 'Resistance' folk.
No matter. Dr. Eggman may no longer be with us, but his infrastructure- his work- remains, and remains unfulfilled. My former compatriots care only for maintaining their own regiments, but I intend to make the Resistance pay for their actions against my idol- beginning with Ms. Amy Rose.
Getting a nonprofit's leader alone with you is no easy feat, true, but after she stepped down to welcome Jewel as her replacement, I found a stroke of fortune. Being the 'face' of this piddly Restoration, she seems all too trusting to meet anyone who claims they are 'in dire need' of help... all I had to do was say that I needed to meet "anonymously" to avoid retribution from some fabricated villain, and she walked right into my trap.
Despite Infinite being gone (good riddance, if you ask me!), the Phantom Ruby I had incorporated into my hypno-glove still works like a charm. I decide what to make the subject believe through hypnosis, and the Phantom Ruby makes their new beliefs reality to trick the whole world; in just a few moments, I had her completely under my will.
Now, I'll see to it that everyone's 'beloved' blue hedgehog knows of his true love being tied up in danger, at my residence in the remains of Eggmanland. Ms. Amy will make the PERFECT bait to lure him out alone, and with HIM gone, the dominos will start to fall in my vengeance. That hedgehog and his menagerie of useless friends will know TRUE despair once more!"

The effects of Starline's Ruby are fairly single-target; they can only really influence people that the Doctor has trapped under the Hypno-Glove's effects- since the Ruby (by my metrics, anyway) works by "tricking" people's cognition, and at a high enough degree of influence that cognition tricks reality itself, the warp therefore is restricted in potency to only affect the people Starline can control.
