For those who have been asking about the boat that has been consuming vast amounts of my free time, here is a little preview: This is a closeup of the aft deck of my strip built kayak, but more importantly, the Moogle I laid into the layers of clearcoat. He started off as a black line vinyl decal I bought at Megacon, but later on I decided to color him in, as the lines got kind of lost amid the red cedar and cypress strips I built the boat from. Eventually, I covered up all the original lines with layers of automotive paint, suspended between layers of clearcoat, and added a smudge shadow to give him something to stand on. I'll take some more photos once the hatches are in place, and the clearcoating is finished.
