I'd imagine the dragons are up to all kinds of shenanigans that impede the flow of humanity. Take for example the hatchlings. The hatchlings are just as prone to solve business or school problems left lying around, as they are to steal the handheld mixers out of the kitchen to turn into high-powered transmitters.
