A little sketch from my last dnd session!
"After washing in the river and getting ready to continue on the road, you suddenly hear singing. It seems to come from a group of young girls, their voices quiet and calm, blending seamlessly with the sounds of nature."
"Once a year, at the end of the season, when winter turns to spring and everything around begins to bloom, virgins prepare for the holiday a few days in advance. They wash their bodies daily, braid each other’s hair, decorate themselves with runes and patterns, and wear festive clothing. They walk around the village, greeting everyone and gathering food for the communal table. They act as representatives of nature, the herd of Mother Earth and the Goddess of the cycle, faithfully serving to ensure the continuation of the cycle itself."
"Recognizing this as a song from your native village, you begins to sing along. A few girls notice and, instead of being afraid, they approach you, take you by the hands, and lead you into the river. They help you transform, adorning your and dressing you in a long white dress. Girls untangle your hair, braid it into long braids, and draw runic symbols on yourface."

From DM: Every year, in the middle of the last month, unmarried girls and boys begin to prepare for the passing Farewell period. The traditions preached in the central-eastern part of Terekant had the following form: boys who were more than 16 years old, dressed in old, worn clothes, smeared with boiling water and clay on their faces, hands and necks (in order not to frighten the householders, bathers and courtiers with their presence, as if hiding under their image) were engaged in cleaning the city/village in which they live while singing ritual songs about the journey of spirits between worlds. The girls, in turn, went to the river every morning, dressed in ritual clothes, decorated their faces with Druid symbols (honor, loyalty, endurance, hope, care), applied something similar to chalk (a symbol of a pure soul) on their faces, pulled tree branches, berries on their hair , vines, inflorescences (reminiscent of the fruiting mother of the earth) and singing late songs about the power and might of nature - they went to the village with a nativity scene, collecting belongings for a big celebration in the very places (among the girls, at least 1 older one stood out (dressed and decorated better than the others, depicting mother earth she leads her children closer to the holiday, the eldest is responsible for the rest of the girls and leads them around the houses; 2 shepherdesses carrying banners decorated with branches and vines with lanterns; the rest of the girls are sheep carrying gifts from the owners)
