It's been a while since I updated here
I like it when artists portray anthro animals in countries of origin. African zebras, for example. So, Savaaha isn't completely zebra, but her warm brown colours remind me of Africa. I wanted to do something arty farty and anthro-with-a-difference.
I also like the Dove adverts with real women, and the black lady in the advert about being too old to have beautiful skin.
So I was on the look out for an anthro lady horse to paint up and Savaaha came up for adoption at Equine Exchange.
It's not how it looked in my head. Never is. Hand looks... masculine, with a broken thumb, my mum said.
Hope you atleast like my idea!

I think it's best to stick with a program you know how to use, then use other methods, like paintbrushes, to get the effect you want. I love the look of Coral Painter, but I've seen people get the same effect in photoshop. It's true, its down to the artist to improve. So just keep going! Don't give up!
