don't think i didn't notice matthew's forlorn look at roberto, as roberto was walking away from matthew
a look which, in my view, was more-reflecting of regret / disappointment (in the outcome) / some sorrow, perhaps, for beto as well — than of malice
i know you put that there (in panel 2) for a reason
of course:
i am open to the possibility, i have misinterpreted what i saw; thusly, it would be up to you (as the author) to correct me if i was, in fact, wrong
i'm forecasting a 🅼🅰🅼🅰 🅱🅴🅰🆁 🅜🅞🅜🅔🅝🅣 coming, some-time-within these next few pages

of course i feel sorry for roberto; and, don't want him hurting
some things, unfortunately, can only be learned through experience
(sometimes, when you try getting people to pursue a different path, in an attempt to get them to avoid An Adverse Situation, they'll ignore you regardless — dismissing you as someone who "don't know what the fuck you're talking about")
we probably wouldn't have much of a story here, if roberto had nipped this in the bud way sooner:

you also had an opportunity to curb the stag the first time when matthew sent you 𝓐 𝓢𝓮𝔁𝔂 𝓟𝓲𝓬:

instead of showing the poor deer's arse to a friend of yours, you coulda spent that time telling the meathead, "hey, i think it's best for me to tell you that, while obviously i am flattered.. ..i'm a man who's not really into sex like that

"i know! it's kinda unusual, but there's a name for that: 'asexuality'
"if you'd like, we can discuss what that means

obviously, matthew's response to this revelation was less-than-ideal...
...but, i would also ask: what would *you* do, if you were in matthew's shoes?
i know for a fact, not everyone is gonna show the same clemency they say they'd expect from others
(not everyone is the Stellar Diplomat they fancy themselves as being!

Ouch, that one will hurt for quite some time. I'm really sorry to see Roberto so destroyed by that comment. I hope his friends help him through it. And well, i do hope deer guy will rethink his position going forward. Who knows. Good work on this one, specially on those expressions, they're awesome.
