Walking along the skywalks, the two left the dry docks and eventually started going through the market platforms. Mira has been here several times, both on her own and with Artison, it brought a smile to her as she would always find something new in the market. There were the usual traders of gems and metals, but it was the knick-knacks that got her attention the most. Once and a while she would stop at a stand to pick up and look over one of the toys.
After putting one down, someone had rushed between her and Artison, shunting them both to the ground and kept on running. Glass shatters as Artison crashes into a display case, and Mira lands on some shelves with dolls. Running through the market was a bull who was carrying something under his arms. After him was a pair of guards that shoved Artison while he was getting up and moved around Mira as they passed.
Mira watched this as she went to help Artison up, "Are you alright, Artison?"
"I'm well Mira," Artison said, looking at her with a smile while dusting off the glass on his clothing and in his fur. "Things happen."
Mira was still looking at him and saw a few crystals with red fall out of his fur, "Let us get a bandage on that first." She said and walked with him to a few of the stands. "Do any of you have bandages or something to help with glass shards?"
A bear beckoned them to come over, and was taking out some first aid, "So, where are you bleeding most, miss?" He asked, "I think I see a bruise on your shoulder that should be looked at."
"I'm fine," Mira said, "It is him I worry about most."
"Oh, he'll be alright. He's a male." the bear said, "Please, let me check on your arm."
Mira looked at this bear more frustrated, "This man fell into glass and is bleeding, treat him first!"
Both the bear and Artison looked at Mira, surprised by this. The bear finally shrugged and spoke, "As you wish, ma'am." Then he tended to Artison's injuries. A bit of coin spent, and the bear laid hands over Artisan's cuts, and it seems most of the glass only cut him rather than stuck into him. Pulling them out let more blood spill from him. The bear put bandages over it and then laidhands again. He completed the prayer and the wounds were completely gone. Sure enough, Mira was fine. Just recommended not to take more hits to her arm for the rest of the day.
As they left, Mira would look back to the bear who helped them for a bit of coin, and the bear was looking to Artison more than her. She turned to Artsion as he was not looking back at all, trying to keep going.
"So... What was that about?" Mira asked,
"It's... normal..." Artison said, "Females are just cared for more than males." He didn't look at her as he said this, he just looked ahead, ears down, and fingers tapping the metal of his leg. "Let's just reach the academy, It'll get your mind off this."
The tapping drew Mira to the metal prosthetic that Artison would walk on, but she kept her mouth shut as she walked with him.
