Hi everyone! ^vv^/ It's been a while since I posted something specifically related to the Monster Mystery rp >vv< Here's Felizia, Finly, and Zai- all monsters my bf rescued in the roleplay that you might have seen in some earlier posts! ^vv^ Feliz is a painter with fruits and a goof, so, naturally... lol
As for news regarding the project- there's not too much to talk about this week. I've been hooking up the basics of team composition- that being keeping track of all monsters you've rescued, your currently deployed team, stuff like that >vv< A lot of town mechanics are based around your team (and exploring will also need that information) so getting the foundation set for it is important! >vv< The hope is you can have a bunch of monsters and pick up to 4 (your partner and your player monster will be a necissary 2 for most of the main game) to go on any quest or expedition with you (even the main story).
I know in Explorers, at least of darkness/time, which is the one I played, it didn't let you take allies with you on story quests, but Rescue Team DX did I'm pretty sure-- I definitely think you should be able to, even if they don't really talk much and are just there to help you explore. These little support characters are important to emergent storytelling in my opinion! ^vv^ That's why I wanted to draw these side characters from my RP this week- I gave them personalities and development to make them feel unique... if only you and your partner mattered, the world would feel a lot more flat >vv> that being said I obviously can't replicate RP character development for all your recruitees in a video game- so I hope you can find personality based on their actions and what you choose to do with them ^vv^
(totally off topic but holy heck the Hunting Horn trailer for wilds AAAAAAAA I CANNOT WAIT!!!... you knowww, the kulu mask returning would really sell the goofy dances~ come on capcom, you know you wanna!)
