Shalur of the black paw house, along with Chorre Skunktaur and Brucan are part of a team of contract workers who provide evaluation and repair services for both physical and computer systems. A Merraki and a Chakat are the other members of the team.
They travel around the different planets of the Federation in their own warp-driven ship, working where they are requested. On this occasion, the team was required by the Voxxan authorities to evaluate critical systems of the space station orbiting the planet Vika-B. It is there where they meet Ben, who came from Chakona to deliver a message to Ugkar Skunktaur, who is on the surface of the planet collaborating with the study for future colonization.
Shalur is a smiling, flirtatious and very passionate Skunktaur with hys work. Hy is Brucan's denmate and uses hys astral projection to solve the problems that the team faces.

I will honestly say that I am quite cautious and suspicious toward skunktaurs.
The stories I read contributed to this, as well as a number of other reasons. (Yeah, I'm a bit of paranoid.)
And it's very nice to see an open and cheerful person with whom you can talk and relax, without constant thoughts that someone can imperceptibly get into your head.

In that case, she (hy) could wear Doren’s usual waitress dress and work in the bar and I definitely would be like “Oh hi! Doren, how’re you doing? Do you wanna go do some shopping after work? By the way, since when did you…black…paw? Oh…you’re not Doren, are you?” Then I would be really embarrassed and apologise to her (hym), je je.
According to the canon of the Chakat universe, the Skunktaurs of the Black Paw house have the ability to astral travel, something like being able to project their spirit outside of their body. And learn through this means, information that they could not otherwise. For example, a Skunktaur could use this talent to find out what is happening inside a reactor about to explode, without the possible explosion being able to harm it, since the physical body can remain safe at a prudent distance.
