If you follow Katie Van Slyke on social media, you know about Seven, a foal born at 286 days gestation! He is a micro-preemie and anything born before 320 days is considered a miscarriage in horses, so he is truly a miracle baby!!
For the first 3 months of his life he wasn't allowed to stand since his knees and hocks had no bones in them, so they had to let the bones grow. After that, they have to work his muscles from not using his legs. He did swim therapy and continuing his journey at the University of Tennessee.
I'm so excited to see where Seven's journey takes him. He's beaten all odds with the care he's received from Katie and the team at UT. He clearly has a will to live!
