Comic: Scarlet Heart (Page 4)
Looking ahead to the next day, Roseland is reconvening at an inn. Piles and piles of papers and scraps are scattered across her desk. As she mulls over her journal, she is relaxed by lovely, scented candles. “Hmm…” After drawing up some sketches and talking with likely over one hundred locals, she was getting closer to a conclusion. “I was able to get at least some information out of those townsfolk. The target's last location was a forest.” She puts a hand to her chin as she theorizes about her options. Wonderkept Woodlands, they called it? Not far from here.” An interesting name for a forest, to be sure, as it is known for its vibrant array of colors and healing atmosphere. Another key piece of information was also brought to her attention, the dragon was traveling with a teammate now. Now, when she was initially given the mission, no such comrade was brought up, so perhaps this was a more recent development, or simple misinformation. Regardless of if it were true or not, they would still be no match for the undefeated bounty hunter, Scarlet Heart.
After many hours of deliberating, hypothesizing, theorizing, and studying maps, Roseland had reached her conclusion. Based on the information that she had gathered; the Hero and her potential comrade were heading to a village in the Angel Mountains region to meet with an important individual. “So, if my deductions are correct, then they will have to pass through...” According to her map, their natural direction of travel would take them to a rural village named Cerbera, and subsequently, “Here.” The Cerbera Coliseum. It is an abandoned coliseum that was intended to be used for training, battles, grand showcases and exhibitions. Though, construction was left unfinished due to the town suffering from the aftermath of a destructive storm. All funds and resources had to instead be put towards rebuilding their broken town. She theorized that the duo would stop by and attempt to help the townsfolk with their endeavors, giving Roseland ample time to gain ground on them. The coliseum is surrounded by forests, so realistically, the duo would be more likely to pass directly through the coliseum than trundle through the thick woods and risk bandit attacks. Her hunter’s intuition was rock-solid, and with her newfound lead, her new destination was set. Her encounter with this Hero drew near…
