Hi how are ya!
Well well well who do we have here? Looks like some characters from a comic that hasn't been updated in a year!
In all seriousness though I'm glad to have some more art of these guys to post because of my own fault.
Before I get into the drawing, here's something I want to get off my chest!
I am overly reserved of how I present my characters especially in regards to my beloved comic strip. I have all these certain rules and guidelines I need to follow in my head for uploading and drawing them.
Like I've never even properly introduced my characters, have had them talk enough, given their names, or of course drawn then enough.
I wanted to do that instead through the comic strip as it went a long, but because I take forever to draw the panels that needed context never comes fast enough so its a drag. Why care about any of the characters if you dont even know their names! And I haven't drawn side drawings of them like this because in my head it wouldn't make sense because you the viewer haven't seen them in enough situations to warrant that.
How the heck are you guys gonna know or care for these guys if you have no background, so that's what I'm trying to fix right now haha.
Plus drawing Polo in the supermarket was getting super tiring for me and I needed a change of pace. Im still working on the next panel ( or panels :D ) but it's gonna change up the sequence of events a bit so it allows me to introduce everyone else too. Shoot I just spoiled it huh?

Here we have Loborío and Lola!
Or dog and wife - the Calupoh and Brazilian Terrier parents of the 4 rascals you're going to see after this drawing haha.
Loborío is a big dog, but given he's getting along in years he has a few grey hairs sprouting out. Not super old though, he'll get upset if you say that. He also goes by the two nicknames Orío or Lobo. Given my Hispanic background, I wanted to protray that with these two! I forgot how I came up with his name but I loved the way it sounded and fit him perfectly. He enjoys getting his grub on like any other dog and isn't afraid to show it haha. He has an easygoing personality but is a bit rough around the edges. He can be extremely charismatic despite his appearance and this lets him navigate being an anthropormorphic canine in a very human world.
Lola is a smaller framed canine but her heart is as wide as they come. She's a bit rambunctious when it comes to things she is passionate about, but it keeps her going and her love is limitless. She enjoys taking life by the reigns and isn't scared to step up when things get tough. She's also getting a bit older, but while she can't fix the frazzled fur under her eyes some dyes here and there and her fur looks brand new! Be cautious making her aware of the grey fur hiding beneath - you don't want to get on her negative side.
They are both very much in love, and are enjoying a night together on the bed in their PJs with some ice cream. Lobo likes to enjoy himself, and that means hoarding the ice cream for himself not caring that his breath isn't going to be pleasant to his dear wife when she wants to get a smooch or two XD
They are not perfect and do bump heads, but they take it in stride and both know that it takes two to run a family. Not run, but have it thrive!
You will notice something too....
I have brought this up before but I will do it again! It will be elaborated on in the story but in the world of the comic "Dog in Place", not all anthros are the same.
Some are more "feral" than others. It explains why Loborío has a more hunched and fuzzy neck than Lola. And how his paws look like a dog's paw while Lola's resembles a humans hand more. This goes into their demeanor and even biology, but that's going to have to wait!
Thank you!

You'd think they'd learn by now!
Lola definitely sees the danger and has the paper towels ready. A big bowl to house the ice cream and a spoon to ensure it arrives safely from bowl to mouf.
Loborío however does not care, the sheets are an after thought compared to a tub of the Rocky Road XD
He has dark fur anyways, you won't notice it if some gets on him haha
