Her story begins in the early 1700s, as Priscilla was born into a family in northern France.
In her early adulthood, Priscilla was married to a man who she quickly learned to be an occultist. Interested in the arcane magic, she joined her new husband in the study and exploration of this secret knowledge. It was the connecting bond between them.
During the following months and years, Priscilla had reoccurring dreams about a mysterious entity. It had feminine figure, wings and large dark eyes like a moth’s that seemed to be gazing into her soul, but it wasn’t malevolent, at least to her. The entity guided Priscilla in her through her dreams into practising necromancy.
In her mid 30s, Priscilla’s husband died of an infection, leaving her with his estate but no children. Grief stricken at first, she vowed to find her late husband’s soul in the great beyond. However, in time Priscilla learned to let go of him, and her mind was instead set on learning more of the ‘death magic’. Her knowledge and skills grew in the pursuit of some powerful breakthrough with the guidance of the benevolent entity in her dreams.
Decade had passed from her husband’s sudden death and she herself began to feel something strange slowly growing inside. One night, the entity returned, bringing tidings of Priscilla's approaching death. Priscilla knew she could not fight against it for long, for the death always wins. But she crafted a plan: a ritual she had learned of from her studies, now repurposed to serve her in the future, should anyone be skilled and clever enough to complete it. It would grant her another chance in life. Not long after laying down the last piece of her new puzzle for the future, she succumbed to her inevitable fate in her late 40s.
In the deep darkness of the veil, her soul waited patiently, for she knew even during her dying breaths that she’d be brought back one day - Reborn through the magic, with a new body to inhabit.
