Recently won re-election by a landslide, despite some underhanded tactics from her opponents.
No one would call her a class act after her response to it, but so palpable was her passion for the actual people that not one person dared criticize her for it. Ironic given she originally ran on an "I'm a veteran" angle.
Her prior time as a Lumerian Knight left her holding steadfast to her ideals. While she's just as good at debating opposition down, she's no stranger to kicking their asses as well. One could argue it's unbecoming of a public servant, and has caused a handful of scandals, but even long into her second-term she maintains massive approval ratings.
The people's choice of a mayor-for-life will obviously have a target on their back, but she's prepared to fight through it all. Her genuine love for her city shines through every time she gives a speech.

-Given the how the Knights work, Heet is no longer a former knight, but a regular foot-soldier, who had considered knighthood during the war, but wanted to get out to the frontlines asap and didn't want to waste time with their training and rituals.
-The war with Ecleis has now been over for a few years, though it's effects still ravage Lumiere.
