Anzu is the daughter of and heir to the ancient Mesopotamian monster of the same name, even sharing his control over both water and fire. She can also change her size at will. She still holds a grudge against Gilgamesh for chasing them from her childhood home-tree, Inanna for sleeping in the bed he carved from it, and the rest of the gods of Sumer for slaying her father when he resisted.
