Knoun as Andes Moorlands, or in Spanish "Páramos Andinos", this ecosystem is just found in Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela, at altitudes from 3.400 to 4.800 meters above sea level. It is home to the Espeletia Genus , known in Spanish as "Frailejones", which have the capacity of capturing water vapor and just releasing it to the soil, redirected towards the soil, hence, thale main rivers which are all born here.
