Few know that Shattered Shield is in a contract with a voidsent named Henrik. After all, dealings with the void are seen as horrid and will likely have several someones after Shield’s head.
Thankfully Henrik spends most days hidden in Shield’s shadow, something that gives him great enjoyment. The voidsent is known to contort and change its size to mess with fellows paying a bit too much attention to him for fun…or using his form to bind up would be victims before consuming them before they know what’s hit them. Shield is usually safe in the physical sense…but as time goes on and Shield’s mental fortitude lessens Henrik creeps into his partner’s body. While Shield sleeps Henrik has the most control, using his abilities as a voidsent to transform Shield to look similar to the hrothgar body he possesses.
But you may start to wonder. What would happen if Shield accepted Henrik’s changes while awake? Is the paladin straying from the Light? Or are Light and Darkness reaching balance in this man?
I wouldn’t ask him myself. He…they look hungry and it might be best to run!
