Thanks so much. It was a huge loss, until this year I lived with Piper for all of her life too so it was a super sad loss :( She was such a goofy baby, when she was young she was so good at hide and seek! And she LOVED ice cubes :)

I definitely know the feeling I lost both of my kitties multiple years ago. They just got too sick and when the medicine we got for them stopped working we put them down to lessen their suffering.
My mom and I are currently pet sitting at my cousins house while they’ve been on vacation for the last couple weeks. We head back home this weekend. We were initially going to be taking care of one cat and one dog but unfortunately after losing one dog at least a couple months ago they recently lost their other one about a month before the pet sitting thing we’re currently doing. They got a new kitten close to the current cat’s age and they get along pretty well. They even have play wrestling matches. I playfully call them members of KEW (Kitty Elite Wrestling) a play of the wrestling company AEW (All Elite Wrestling) which if you’re into that kind of thing I highly recommend watching. It’s like the WWE’s (World Wrestling Entertainment) Attitude Era from the 90’s and 2000’s on steroids. Tons of great action tons more high flying and high risk moves and even teams up with other wrestling companies like CMLL, NJWP (new Japan pro wrestling)
I’d include ROH (Ring of Honor) but the man who owns AEW Tony Khan owns ROH as well.
Back to the topic at hand sorry for going off topic for a bit. A lot of pups usually are very goofy at times or a lot more.
Fun fact, the newer kitten loves things like the removable part at the top of a resealable plastic bag that you have to tear off to access the product before sealing it again as cat toys and also ice cubes for the same reason.

Even when it's the right choice, it's still so hard. I lost my cat over 5 years ago now and the pain is still so fresh some days.

I hope the pet sitting is going well! Kittens are so fun, and I think it's a general rule that most cats /have/ to prefer trash or cardboard boxes to the actual toys we buy lol. Mine go CRAZY for a bit of crinkly plastic and they'll steal the napkins right out of my hand if I'm not careful lol! Mine are all past kitten stage at this point, 2, 4, and two 5's, but they still get up to a bit of wrestling every now and then and the bodyslams really pack a punch when they're 15+ pounds lol

-nods-Totally agree. That kind of decision is never an easy one.
It was awesome. They definitely are, the littlest one went after almost anything that moved including the feet of me and my mom. Same with the little kitten as well. Any type of plastic that made noise was like a wonderful toy to him, same for the slightly older and larger cat. That’s so very true. It’s wonderful and funny to watch yet also a bit worrisome at times, especially the bigger one getting on top of the smaller one.
For a cuter side sometimes when they do they’re wrestling like holds they decide to help give each other baths.

Never easy having to put down a pet.
