Gryphon Ex Nihlius, the battered, world-and-war-weary, dimentionally-displaced time-hopping gryphon, taking a break from blistering desert heat to barter for a canteen of cold water in the shade of some neglected, half-buried ruins. (Iiwi, on the right, is happy enough to trade one of her spares in exchange for an account of his recent travels through the area - she knows as well as any experienced adventurer that the shifting sands hide as many secrets as they uncover, and dangers besides. She'll throw in some sugared dates and seedcake as well, should he be interested in helping her move a few treasures too big for her knapsack to a more hospitable locale...)
