It's actually not a crypt, or leading to one. The colors remind me of the opening to 'Tails from the Crypt.'

It's odd to envision places like this when they were new. At one time, there were workmen pouring concrete, laying bricks, spreading plaster and applying paint on what was to be a hospital. Looking at these places in a state of decay, it's kind of hard to remember that there was such a time.
This is probably the strongest aspect of my interest in abandoned places: Once nature begins its course to take back the forgotten and break it down to its most basic elements, she consumes the properties that we consider livable and and produces a very dark and color environment.
