All the fancy Glitch-effects you can hear are created via databending and then mixing together again, glitchin again... bla. Lots of work but cheap composition.
Databending like I´ve done here works following way:
1. Make a copy of an mp3-File.
2. Change the file name from xxx.mp3 to xxx.raw
3. Open with Photoshop, try to make the picture as big as possible->play around with width/hight, thera are two possible messages one with this yellow sign and ond with the red... make it as big as possible without getting the red one. I´m to lazy to explain further now. Hope you gonna get it when u see it, if not- just ask.
4. Select random parts of the noise , use the offset-filter or copy via layer an move.
!!!. Dont change anything at the row of dark pixels you see at the top right hand corner. Thats the mp3 datahead, if you change anything there you won´t be able to open the mp3 later.
5. Save as xxx.raw and change the data name to xxx.mp3
6. Open with music playing software/ audio editing program/ musik stuff of your choose
7. Listen what you hear. If so congratulations! You´ve damaged a .mo3 without destroing it.
