"It's a pichu! And it's a girl~!!!" the midwife exclaimed, cleaning up the newborn all while Fang flopped back onto her pillows.
"Is...is it over?" She panted as she felt ready to pass out, "Everything's....so sore..."
"You did it Fang, you did it!! You gave birth to our beautiful triplets~" Blade exclaimed as the doctor happily yet very carefully handed the trio over to her.
"Your little pichu still needs a name~" the doctor said, giving them a clean bill of health.
"Joule, Spinel suggested it~" Blade smiled as he gently pets their little heads as Fang tears up at the sight of her children. After 9 long months and almost 12 hours of labor, they were finally in her arms.
"It was so, SO worth it," Fang whispered.
They were so soft and squishy as she carefully held them in her arms, tears streamed down her cheeks at the sight of her children.
"You did it babe~" Blade lovingly kisses her cheek as he carefully pets their heads.
"We did it Blade~" Fang sniffled happily. "But man is my cooch sore now"
"It's going to be some strict bedrest for several days for you as your body recovers from the pregnancy. Your organs were squished by your womb after all" the doctor said as she wrote down the names of the newborns onto their birth certificates.
"Can Spinel come in and see them now?" Blade asked as the doctor nodded granting permission.
"But only 1 person at a time please and keep voices very low" the doctor added as she writes down her notes and cleans up all the medical gear. Soon, Blade went over to the door.
"Psst... Spinel...!" he whispered, getting his son's attention. "Come on in, but be quiet, okay?"
Spinel gasped happily as he looked back to his relatives, they simply smiled and urged him to go ahead. He took a deep breath and went ahead to his mother's room.
"Mommy?" Spinel asked as he peaked his head through as Blade opened the door for him.
"Hey kiddo~" Fang smiled, still rather exhausted from the whole ordeal. "Come and meet your new siblings~" Spinel then scampered up to her bed and gasped wide-eyed at the sight of the triplets in his mother's arms.
"They're so....small!" he exclaimed in a hushed tone.
"Spinel, meet your brother Luka & your sisters Lucy and Joule~" Blade smiled.
All three babies cooed and gurgled in their mother's arms while Spinel watched in amazement.
"Can I hold one of them?" he asked.
"Sure, but be sure to hold her head~" Blade gently takes Joule out of Fang's arms and carefully puts her in his arms.
"Woooooow" Spinel said in awe at the little pichu in his arms. Joule then opened her eyes and saw her big brother for the first time. "Hi Joule, I'm your big brother Spinel!" the pichu stares at Spinel for a few moments before..
"Pbbbt..." She stuck her tongue out in a raspberry before reaching up and grabbing his nose.
"I think she likes you~" Fang giggled softly.
"I love her!" he said with his nose all pinched up by Joule. Fang and Blade both laughed softly as they leaned toward each other.
"I love you so much Fang~" Blade smiled as he planted a little kiss on her cheek.
"I love you too Blade~" She returns the kiss as Spine hands Joule back to her. "We're such a huge family now huh~?"
"It's going to be a wild time, but we'll make it work~" Blade replied.
"And I'll help!" Spinel happily cheered.
"I know you will sport~" Blade happily pets him on the head. That's when Fang began to drift off to sleep, exhausted from such a long birth.
