I think it's because it's hard to keep that simple gorgeous tone when everything feels mixed.
The more I listen to this (and I've had it on repeat) I think it may be more of just a input volume to output volume problem. But that doesn't even matter when you have a result this fantastic.

I had to try hard not to sing along or I'd miss the beautiful singing voice ^^ A marvelous collaboration once again. I'd love to do some singing to 'show' you but I'm afraid I lack proper recording gear to make a decent performance at the moment.

The original IS lovely, I am such a huge fan of them lol I <3 Tom's voice so much and their song writer is fantastic. I want their babies D: Always like meeting people who know of Keane and who also like their stuff, I don't know that many people who do :s!

Lol yeah, they're awesome =3 My family always listens to them (along with Coldplay, Kate Bush and E.L.O) when we travel 5 hours by car to get to The Lake District (in the North West of England) ^^ We go there every year and listen to the same songs. Dosn't get boring =3 So now whenever I hear these songs all I think of is the Lake District xDD

OMG Go to the Lake District when you get the chance!! It's beautiful! We've been there as a family (and with 2 other families who are our friends) every summer ever since I was born =3 well, most of a year old xD (so about 18 years now... well, this year will be the 18th year we go!) Also, if you DO get to go, go to Grasmere and visit the gingerbread shop, and get their gingerbread! It's soooo tasty. And it's been made the same way for like a hundred years or something, lol!

I grew up listening to ELO...what surprises me is that younger generations know of them. I'm 40, and they were big in the late 70's and early 80's, maybe mid 80's. Coldplay, I know of them, listened to a few of them, they're ok. Although i'll admit to no knowing Keane that well.
Well at least you were given a broad musical base by your parents. My musical base consisted of doo-wop and such from the 50's and 60's...SO i had to build my own as a teen and listened to 60's and 70's, as well as the current 80's at that time. Granted I didn't listen to ALL forms of music, but I at least learned of more forms and genres that had been put before me. I applaud you and Lillie's liking for ELO, It beats the mutational music that's been coming out of late.
lol, well my parents were in a band for ages, my mum being the lead singer, and my dad on bass guitar, and they played all kinds of stuff. Even though I was introduced to all the stuff my parents liked (and I like aswell), my favourite genre is rock/metal... LOL my dad still is confused as to how I got into it xDD but hey. Main stream music nowadays is shit...

Oh man I have wanted to cover that for ages and actually it was the song I thought of while recording this one :s It's a gorgeous GORGEOUS song. I love it, probably one of my very faves! So glad you mentioned that, but now I am sat here squealing at the screen like a madlady lol XD! I wonder if Fox would agree to do it...
Awh LilyPad! No need to be shy! You have a gorgeous voice, and you should let it shine! I'm only a 15 year old singer and so far I only have a few weekly gigs as the house band at restaurants and conventions and such, but your voice could silence a crowds. I get goosebumps every time I listen =) Don't be shy you silly girl ;) You have a beautiful gift! It's great to meet other singers on FA =)

I'd definitely love to hear more of you! :)) I used to be in a choir in elementary shook and I remember one of the concerts, I was given a huge solo from "i will survive" by Gloria Ganor and a few high school students asked for my autograph ^^ I was ecstatic xD

This is amazing. I've never actually stopped to listen to any music on FA because I was ignorant and assumed it would all be shit.

I have to say while this isn't my style of music, this is by far one of the best female vocalists I've heard furry or otherwise. Perfectly in time and tune with the music with no deviation at all.
Superb singing, I got chills at 2:00+ from her raising her voice, beautiful.

I'm completely envious, enchanted, ecstatic, and enthralled by how beautiful the piano, composition, melody and incredible vocals are. I'd love to make music like this someday, but I just can't express it from my mind out of me. Congratulations for producing such a beautiful piece of aural art! ^^
It takes an awful lot of skill to redo someone's song well and even more to make it sound just as good or better than the actual artist. I really don't see that nowadays aside from the few people who have gotten once it by sheer luck alone. It amazes me how many times you are able to pull this kind of stuff off. You have an amazing talent as well as the people you choose to collaborate with.

This is my first post on FA, go figure. Awesome vocals on this one! To be honest, at first I was not sold on the instrumental - it wasn't that it wasn't well done, but it took some adjusting for my ear. As a bassist whose covered this song a fair amount, I was almost expecting a strong left hand as per the Keane original to reinforce the chords. The way as is though does come off with an interesting, more gentle tone. Good job!

I don't tend to give the music posted on FA the light of day since what I have had the displeasure of coming across was just trance thumpy bullshit. I gotta say though, this really impressed me. The vocals are beautiful, you both did a wonderful job at covering this song. You've inspired me to check out more FA musicians.
This song is truly a masterful work of art. I was listening to this in my living room next to my own piano on a couch and it's absolutely pouring down rain out side and when I turned this song on it was really enchanting to listen to the tatters of the rain that seemed to follow with utter grace to this music. This the kinda of thing that would be awesome in a singing part of a love story movie. As a little sugestion from my point of view you should encorporate sounds of nature into your music. Like for intstance listening to a smooth sound of your music with the sound of crashing waves on a shore line in the background. *smiles and justs imagines it.*
Interesting take on the song. I can picture this being used as part of one of those children's fantasy movies that have those bittersweet coming-of-age themes running through them. Like Bridge to Terebithea or something of the like. Maybe a Jim Henson Studios production.

At the suggestion of a comment, I happened to take in this song while reading a story of the same title that went up on Equestria Daily... This song is very well done, and I might say, superior to the song it covers. Paired with the story that I had read... Well, it was such a sad story, but happy in a way too. Dreams of youth and freedom by one with neither. A respite from the pain of living under someone else's mastery in a sanctuary of memory and imagination... Every night...
My first listen, my first read... Together, they were a little bit overwhelming, and oh so perfectly fitting. Like soul mates of story and song.
I'm gonna try to get a few hours of sleep now, and hopefully... I'll have heavenly dreams too, dreams that would take me away from the worries and pains of life to somewhere only I know.

This is a very beautiful cover. It was nicely composed and the vocals
were spot on.
A bit of constructive criticism I think in a few areas the timing of her breathing was a bit off
and some areas she could have held her pitches a tad longer to give greater aesthetic but other
than that this was very wonderful even still.
