Vydis insisted they walked to the breach to see for themselves. Her morat friend, Rugmar, was not impressed, only interested in rumors of the monsters that were spawned from the riven earth. Vydis was not worried, just vigilant as usual, confident that they could handle any surprises. But the scenery was still and silent save for the creaking branches of distorted trees. And the woman felt weirdly... at home.
