YES! still more Basilisk, Virgo and Capricorn. This is kind of a long arc for this comic which normally bounces back and forth every two to three pages. The story seemed to make it necessary to stay with our lady of virtue and goat-girl for a bit longer. In this page, Basilisk banks on Virgo's heroic nature that she wouldn't put her in lethal danger, even if she was a villain because heroes don't kill. Well, she might be unaware of what recently happened to her team mate Hellhound.

Not so fast. If I remember the portents that were given at the start of this, Ramas only said "One of you will take a life", and that one has already occurred, so whatever Cap is about to do likely isn't going to be fatal I'd wager. Will still likely come out better than Slaver though.
"Be pure of heart and gentle of intentions. Though I can see one of you becoming a monster." -Ramas (pg 45, panel 6) -- https://www.furaffinity.net/view/2207383/
But we seem to be at two 'monsters' so far, Gemini on page 255 and red Capricorn here, so maybe Ramas' predictions are not perfect. Besides Ramas actually said, "Though I can see one of you will be forced to take a life," and this situation doesn't seem to fit the "be forced to" part of that description.
"Avoid bloodshed if possible. Though I can see one of you will be forced to take a life." -Ramas (pg 45, panel 5) -- https://www.furaffinity.net/view/2207383/

Well, Basilisk did sort of inadvertently hit a new and sore nerve. She didn't think herself the type either, until that moment of desperation. Virgo still probably believes there was a way she could have ended that confrontation non-fatally, but in the end, she didn't. She's simply compartmentalizing it until she can come to terms with it later, but it seems a part of her already has an understanding of "I am someone willing to commit violence to stop people". Wonder if Virgo would consider herself a hypocrite to stop Cap after what Virgo herself had just done to Hellhound.
Now that Capricorn has turned red she seems to have even gotten bigger... and her team uniform is still intact. I just noticed it is purple so New Dawn must have gotten it from the same place Bruce Banner gets his pants.
What happens to Basilisk's "hood" in the last frame?

This is really an interesting development for Virgo; I believe that the fact that she was forced to kill Hellhound kinda broke her high opinion of herself.
It was obvious at the beginning that she had a high opinion of herself and her moral compass, almost at the point of being slightly superb and arrogant in her own "virtue"; the act of killing broke her but actually in a sort of "constructive " way; she is more willing to use force and less prone to judge others, which Basilisk is going to find out in the hard way...

Yep, that's precisely what I was thinking although I may have expressed myself not accurately in my previous comments; Virgo is broken but at the same time rebirth stronger.
Now I am very curios how this will evolve; the fact that Basilisk in the last panel is scared seem indicate that she really didn't expect Virgo's reaction and Cap now seem strong enough to do her some serious damage (a nice payback I say, considering that Basilisk had given Cap quite the beating before), a fact which Bailisk seem to be too aware.
