OC Gallery: The Yongqi Sisters
OC revamping time! Now briging some fresh art with not-so-fresh revamping design, since I've been messing around with it for at least a year or so. Anyway, here's the Yongqi Sisters, a joyful duo of prodigious martial artist bnnuys that, at a young age, moved from a small agricultural village in the outskirts of Zuhai, China, to Hong Kong, where they began their journey to become Chinese martial arts masters. Currently they own an Asian antique shop in Melitene, Algonkee State (just to reinforce, the fictional US state the current Home Heroes universe takes place).
Zoe (Yongqi Hua), the bigger sister (20), is an extremely dedicated disciple of all animal forms of kung fu ('HH universe' lore: anthro kung fu practitioners commonly prefers the animal styles), who basically thought everything other characters in the cast, such as Charles, Gina James, Venice and Niko, know about such styles. Most of the times the disciplinary no-nonsense voice of reason, when she is not seeing training or meditating, she is questioning the behavior and morality of her friends and baby sister, despite never refusing to lend a hand for any misadventuring acquaintance. Although she might act serious and fully committed to responsibilities all the time, she does know how to have a good time, specially when it comes to beach, hiking, snow resorts and music shows, and also enjoys lots of good reading during her free time. Despite being a tea enthusiast, she doesn't like to admit her soft spot for liquor.
Sue (Yonqi Ya), 16, is the more popular, easygoing, peppy, carefree, "you-only-live-once" "social butterfly" of the duo, a notorious contrast to big sis. In fact, a lot can be said about Sue's bratty behaviour and uncanny mindset, how it reflicts a lot on the way she deals with people, how cheeky she acts towards serious situations breaking up snarky comments at it, or even how she easily manages to get under the skin of anyone "locking horns" with her (specially if such skin is sensitive, seeing how she enjoys tickle-teasing friends and foes alike). That often causes Zoe to get all bossy around her, and even if "you're not my mom!!" is a constant argument, in the end Sue comprehends that's merely the overprotective nature she inherited from their parents. While not as dedicated to martial arts as Zoe, she still a force to reckon, making up for her diminutive build with nearly unmatchable speed and astounding dexterity with melee weapons. As expected, Sue likes to live life to its fullest, so it's hard to even point out her favorites.
