The Barrows of La Flamme are the most difficult region of Grimmoirea in which anyone can live: a harsh volcanic land, buried under the sands of a cruel desert, and homeland of the worst criminals and cutthroats of the continent. Even in such an inhospitable environment, a city, the biggest of the region, grows prosperous and full of life: Gourmanierre, the biggest oasis in the desert of La Flamme.
A shining metropolis, bathed in sunlight and gold, with seemingly no way to ever fall... but the closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes, and the ominous shadow that haunts Gourmanierre is its own ruler.

Name: Giermarr
Age: Unknown
Species: Ancient Dragon
Birthplace: Barrows of La Flamme
Height: 66 Feet or 20 Meters (Real Appearance); 5,41 feet or 1,65 meters (as Princess Linn)
Lenght: 165 Feet or 50 Meters
Personality: Giermarr, like the most classic of dragons, is a beast driven by greed: gold, jewels, riches of any kind are what he loves the most, and, even if he continuously acquires more of those, his treasure is never enough for him. The ruler of Gourmanierre desires always more, never satisfied with how grossly rich he is, in a neverending desire of making his hoard bigger and bigger.
His personal quest to satisfy his desires is reflected even in his behaviour towards the citiziens of his dominion: Giermarr, bluntly, is a tyrant, who makes the lives of his subjects hell, if they cannot do what he wishes. The dragon puts more and more taxes on the people of Gourmanierre, from the most logic ones to the most stupid and senseless ones, and punishes with iron fist who cannot, or doesn't want, to pay up; ruling with iron fist, he's cruel with whoever violates the laws he imposes in his dominion, enjoying to make people suffer, mostly if that can make up, in his twisted mind, for his loss in riches.
Haughty and self-centered, Giermarr fears no one, believing the fact of being invincible: alive from thousands of years, he never found someone strong enough to even give him a mediocre scar, and so he sins of pride, so sure that no one can beat him, that he generally looks down on anyone else, even if with partial reason. Dragons, in the continent of Grimmoirea, are rare and powerful creatures, long forgotten and feared, so strong that people believe they're only part of a distant past, and nowhere to be seen in the current era.
Creatures so cruel and formidable, that all the other races had to join to even have a chance to stand up to one of them... a reality that Giermarr remembers all too well, and that he's very fond of, as it makes his ego grow more and more.
His ego, however, can be his weak point: the ruler of Gourmanierre loves to be reminded how great and strong he is, how puny everyone else is in comparison to him, and if flattered he could soften a bit, enough to not make you his next victim... not that it happens so often. Even if praised, he could anyway decide you're not worthy of escaping, instead being worthy of falling under his judgement.
And if he's not the one in charge of keeping his subjects in line, there's his right-hand man: Ahrimat, a demon summoned and having a contract with Giermarr himself. A creature that the dragon called from the depths of La Flamme to put a spell on the city, in a way to keep it prosperous and alive, and with an endless amount of riches coming in; a service that the dragon excahnged in giving Ahrimat the role of head of the army of Gourmanierre, giving him power, and letting him open his own arena in the city.
A dragon, ruler of such a big city nonetheless, would be noticed by the masses... but not Giermarr: to prevent troublesome knights in shinign armor to come to him, in hope of slaying him (as they would be just an annoying nuisance), he takes another form to show himself to the world. The appearance of a petite girl, so tiny and cute that no one would believe who she really is, with the pseudonym of "Princess Linn".
Giermarr takes such an appearance in a way to be underestimated, to be considered weak by the people around him, only for him to revel in the shock of his real identity before he's going for the kill; this, as well, to prevent other kingdoms to attack his dominion and personal playground, and letting everyone thinking the power of the princess comes from Ahrimat, the most loyal servant of the ruler of Gourmanierre.
A scheming, sadistic and hedonistic person, in short words, with an ego as big as his massive gut. A big dragon's gotta eat after all, and what's best for such a creature, than to feast on who's not able to be useful for his goal of endless wealth?
Abilities: Being a dragon, Giermarr has all the standard abilities of his species: he can fly with his massive wings, and he can spit a fire so hot that it can melt mountains if he wanted to; his skin, hard as rock, doesn't get wounds after attacks of lesser beings, both physical and magical in nature, and, natural thanks to his size, he possesses inhuman strenght, that would be very difficult to match for creatures of other species.
Peculiar to himself, anyway, there's the ability to take a humanoid form: as said before, the appearance of Princess Linn, that the dragon uses to hide his real nature to the world. In such form, he loses all his abilities as dragon, minus the resistance of his skin and his strenght, which are still present and available for him to use and wreck his opponents.
A creature almost impossible to kill, with a body that cannot be wounded, but without a mind to match it: mind spells, illusions and similar can have easily effect on the dragon, being basically the only actual way to defeat him, for whoever would be foolish enough to try.
