I love how the hexagonal rings on their tail aren't attached to anything and just sorta float there, they make for some really interesting tail decorations. (At least I think that's how it works?)

That's exactly correct, actually! They sorta float around part of his tail (sort of like in an electro magnetic way)~ ✨
