How I Depict D&D Characters...
Can you tell the difference?? XD
I *have* done serious artwork of my character, but I seem to prefer silly sh*t instead :V

I mean, I kind of agree - like, it's possible to have a silly character that is ALSO serious and undergoes serious drama. Just like it's possible to have a super serious character who has hilarious silly moments <333 Just makes the emotional/dramatic extremes all the more fun when they happen!
8V...
To be fair, I *have* done non-silly art of Pet. In fact, working on a lovely floof-filled picture along those lines right noooowwwww...

Hey, I didn't say that was a bad thing. Beung a derp is absolutely awesome and funny. I love your silly arts cause it contrasts so well with your serious hyper realistic stuffs lol ^^
And oooooooo, I can tell you sent me this out of spite XD. Just look at all SOFT FLOOF!!!!! It is everywhere! My goddess, to be on that pile must be heavenly ^^. I guess, in the spirit of Pet, you can call that one hell of a floof orgy XD. Just aside though, that's extremely adorable as hell x3

Haha, I know YOU don't think it's a bad thing, at least :) And yeah, Pet's like a source of silly joy and hilarity in my life so I like to represent that in my art lol
I KNOW RIGHT? So jealous <333 But yes, for "reasons," little Pet (who has no wolf in her whatsoever) now has a pack of seven identical albino dire wolves as her children. Almost immediately, they became bigger, stronger, and smarter than their mom XD
((In game, they mechanically act as a singular "swarm" for her animal companion. When my husband explained this, I was like, ".... PUPPY SWARM ;_; <333333"))

The puppies were very, very cute :b They're big now, and borderline terrifying to others, but they'll always be adorable to me :b
((The story is she legit lays with a cursed wolf demigod, the First Wolf to be created, but was made wrong: written into his flesh is a need to grow and lead his pack, but also the need to dominate, hunt, and kill, which has always led him to destroy his progeny. Pet saw how miserable and broken he was, and wanted to help him be "less grumpy" as she put it :V Pet is in a very, very privileged position and is able to ensure the safety of his offspring pretty much, so she bred with him so that he could grow his pack without him murdering them. The First Wolf's semi-divine genetics overpowered her own, though, so the pups are 100% wolf, but with a bit of shapeshifter in them from their mom, able to shift between anthro and feral. Every night, wherever they are, they sing to him still <3))

Hahahah, or that great meme where it's like, super serious badass on paper, and then terrible useless derp when you roll XD
OMG, our bards can be friends XD She started with legitimately 7 Intelligence :b but managed to get it upped to 8... lol... I actually really enjoy playing characters with a seriously bad dump stat - I feel like weaknesses can add a lot of, well, character to a character! There was one character I rolled who was... hmm... I think INT 4 and CHA 8?? Basically talked like a caveman and was raised by his saber-toothed tiger "big brother" who was actually smarter than he was lol.

that's like RIGHT beside my gaytor lol! XD his 7 Int too!
We're doing the Stryxhaven module and the joke has been his books are all special made with pop-up book magic. (i mean, he's been somehow the top of the class? even weirder part)
My bigger laugh was originally going to just play him up as like "dumb country bumpkin out of his know-how", but the low stat just made it far funnier.

lol! I love the pop-up book magic <333 That's the hilarious thing - bards are supposed to be great loremasters, right? And in Pathfinder, they get the ability to take 10 (or 20, daily) on any Knowledge check... but it's like... *narrows eyes* These idiots - how do they knowwwww?? lol
With my character, she finds herself in absurdly privileged places on a regular basis (more for level 15++ rather than the level 2 she started as), so my head-canon is sort of that she has picked up random shit she's not even aware of half the time lol.
How are you finding Stryxhaven? We almost never do premade adventures, but I wouldn't say no to one!

Hah, yeah--Moss (my gaytorboi) is just like EXTREMELY out of place so he's just kinda dumb luck quite literally. xD ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/54480399/ also in case wanna see him)
Like, he's mostly pretty pure and simple-minded overall. So when he is the one coming up with ideas for "tactics" it's more "that's what we'd do back home. :3" more than "aha, genius tactician!" (think biggest laugh we got was doing a party event and he decided to "flavor" the stew with his namesake ingrediant and poisoned the entire party except himself and our kobold. He's now moved into a spirit of death in our WTA game, lmao)
Stryxhaven is....a thing! like they more or less gave the blue print /idea/ of the module and that's about it. it is lacking SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO badly. like we have unintentionally broken the damned module just having a "think outside the box" mage party alone, that's including our meta-gaming wizard pc who thinks he is a meatshield! (Moss calls him dinner for a reason!) I think biggest problem with it is that it more or less is a "this is meant for more advanced/intermediate dm's to run. need a LOT of filler content added yourselves." that my group just kinda had poor combo of meta-gaming player trying to outright "show how shit it is" while also having the "dm is /trying/ to pad it, but it keeps getting circumvented by either our thinking outside the box or the metagamer ignoring filler-events". i'd say worth trying eventually, but just make sure your dm knows they gotta add their own stuff and not rush the main module itself, cuz "one semester" got rushed into four three-hour long sessions.

Awww, he's beautiful :333 I like his panpipes :3 Kinda seems like we went similar directions with our idiot bards :b My Pet is pretty pure-hearted and well-intentioned, wavering somewhere between chaotic good and chaotic neutral, but loves a good prank >:3
Mmm, yeah, it's a bit awkward if you sell a product as an adventure module, but then don't actually fill it out. It's one thing if it says outright, "You'll need to fill parts 1 3 and 6 with your own content - we suggest something like (blah)," or something, but from the sounds of it, it just... doesn't :b Although at least we wouldn't have a problem with that here - my husband always DMs, and he's all about the original content :b He rarely uses monsters or items from the books, instead using them as rough templates for power levels or stat blocks and then coming up with unique abiities/powers/etc. I actually have sort of wanted him to arrange some of his adventures into downloadable modules on DriveThruRPG, but he'll never get around to it, I know it :b

Haaaaaaaaaaa! That is SO amazing though! From a writer's (and someone with FAR too active an imagination) point of view, those silly pictures tell me SO much more about the characters, their personalities and the sorts of adventures that are part of their lives. The, frankly, epic detail that you can render in never ceases to amaze, and it makes a stunning profile type image of a character, so that's just as amazing. It just goes to show that you don't need near photo-realism to convey the heart of a character and their lives.
<333 I kind of know what you mean, right? It's the quirks that can really set a character apart. Like, "everyone" has an uber cool warrior/mage/insert fantasy class here - they can be awesome and epic and that's great, but it's sort of the difference between a perfect statue on a pedestal, and candid photos their friends took of them during their actual everyday lives. I feel like one of my favourite examples that always stuck in my head was the scene in V for Vendetta where he's making eggies in a basket with his cute apron on :b I love that shit <3
Also, thank you so much, as always <333 I'll need to do a properly epic illustration of Pet someday, just to balance out all the silliness XD

Heh, that can be said of almost anyone/everyone. I think the more famous a person, the more there is an "image" of them that is the public persona versus the real them. Like, take Albert Einstein - obviously well known as one of the most scientifically brilliant human beings ever, but, behind the scenes, he was playful, goofy at times, and uh, apparently quite the ladies man. And LOL - YES - that scene in that movie was awesome for showing the totality of the person, heh.
that's seriously silly. :) I love it!
my characters rarely stay what they are created as, too. things change, and then, at my weekly group where we have taken failure to an art form and improvise a lot, the DM does a facepalm, cracks their knuckles, and cooks up something either epic, or hilarious. or sometimes even both... :D

Thanks <333
Yesss XD Hilarious AND epic is the best <3 I agree with the unpopular opinion that critically failures are more interesting. Critical successes are perhaps the most FUN, or most SATISFYING, but critical failures can be fun, too, and they can signal twists and or sudden changes that no one (including the DM) expected. For instance, my character was teaching her animal companion (a pack of dire wolves, then teeny puppies) to swim. They critically failed and as a result, kind of developed a phobia of water. As FIERCE and FEROCIOUS hunters (teeny puppies), they couldn't stand for this, and made it their mission to someday defeat the Big Water.
One day, I went to check on the puppies and they were all missing... until I found myself in the middle of a big ambush XD They're much MUCH more combat-savvy than my character, so they beat her soundly :b Their logic: I defeated the Big Water, therefore by defeating me, they too have defeated the Big Water XD Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way and I explained that to them, and they're still puzzling over just how to defeat their nemesis XD

Dope. I'd love to see the looks on the pirates' faces XD My puppies would be very impressed :b
I maybe could've had something like that when I got my first mythic level - I basically had a vision of a magnificent hall with a series of doors I could look through, but only choose one to walk through. One door DEFINITELY had some sort of epic mount that would have been, like, soulbound to me or whatever and probably would've had some sort of cool personality/quirk to it... but I went with something else. I had like 10 options, it was tough to choose from @_@

imagine their looks after the first few fell from arrows out of nowhere...
"A rider, over there!"
"Riding the waves?"
"Nope, a horse."
"You been at the rum casket again, matey? Matey? Answer me damnitAAARGH!"
aw, tough choices.
and now there is that epic mount still waiting with a tear in it's eye... "Nobody wants me. What is it with me, ain't I epic enough?"

I bring to much of my own personality to my D&D characters so they can't be really silly but they show something I don't to anyone but people I know and trust for quite some time in real life.
So there can be funny parts like you don't know what that portal does *shove a party member right trough it*😇
