I remember back when all you had to do was have a clear field to launch these as no one could give a shit. Heck if some cops where around and saw you launching them they would just come up to you and talk with you how cool the rockets where.
Now days its illegal to launch them almost everywhere as the rocket motors are restricted like fireworks are.
God do I really miss the 1970s and 80s! Kids today have no clue what real freedom is like.

When I was a kid on non school days if the weather was good we would be kicked out of the house after eating breakfast and being told to be back by the time the street lights came on. For the entire day our parents did not have the slightest idea where we where or what we where up to and they where cool with that.
No kid today would ever know what it was like in the 70s and 80s. If they are actually given the freedom that I knew they would just wast it inside letting some machine to do their thinking for them. When I was a kid we had to find out that throwing a lawn dart into the air as hard as we could and catching it before it hit the ground was not the greatest of idea by personal experience.
