The USAF Thunderbirds Air Demonstration team showed up to Milwaukee's Water and Air Show this year. Flying in six ship formations , putting on aerial acts that are quite impressive. Though here is a typical four ship formation, it shows how tight they fly together. Literally with feet of each other.

While watching the four ship display up close, they snuck in a 5th F-16C to come in from behind and "Cracked the Whip" and broke the sound barrier just above the audience, which erupted in massive cheers!
