Premiering in 1987, The Adventures of Aurelina was a TMS-animated cartoon show airing
on Saturday mornings. It lasted two seasons. Considered an anthology series by fans, each
episode featured the titular character Aurelina in one of several recurring settings,
such as high fantasy, sci-fi, late baroque fantasy, cowboy/western, the classical world, or modern.
During each episode, a villain (or hero, depending on the character) subjects her to a different fate,
typically resulting in her being inflated into a tremendous blimp, with sizes varying from room-filling
to I̴̵̞̝̺̺͆͆̈́̔̀̈́͜M̵̸̠͕͎͚̘̟͌͆͛̓͘͝P̸̵͕̺͔͙͖͖̈́͆̈́̔̕͝O̴̸̢͇͕͉͚̾̐̓̚͜͠͠S̸̴͙̼͉̟̻̓͒͆͌͘͝S̴̸̡͉͙͍̺̝̿̒̓̚̕͝Í̴̸̼͔͓͙͕͉͑̽̈́͘B̵̵͇̪̪͔͉͕͐̓͊͘̚̕L̸̵̠̦͚̞̙̪̓̽̀͝͝͝E̸̵̡͕͖͎̙͖̐́͌̈́̈́͠. The characters rarely recall the events of previous episodes, and each inflation
seems to be Aurelina's first. Unfortunately, most of the episodes are lost media, but tapes have been
seen circulating in collector's circles.
In Dirigible Disaster, Aurelina, depicted as the newly-elected mayor of a clean, affluent city, follows
a trail of clues hoping to root out corruption in her cabinet. This leads her to a pollution processing
facility in the city's industrial district, only to find that, in order to keep such a vast metropolis clean,
something has to contain all the sloppy gas fumes.

I find myself wondering what they used to contain such air pollution before her... and if Aurelina actually has a limit to how large she can expand! I mean; doesn't that hurt her or it the choking fumes more of her concern? I never know how realistic any of these things should be taken.
