‘I got it!!’

“Sometimes you can meet new friends when you least expect to.

On a recent visit to Coconut Island I came across an unusual looking woman, she had a big bushy tail and was wearing some kind of mask on her face. She seemed abit lost, or at least uncertain where to go, a look I’ve seen on tourists quite often, but there was definitely something different about her.

I went up and asked if she needed any help and we started talking. Her name was Isabel and she was some kind of ‘super heroine’ that had been invited to the island by Hula Girl. I guess that makes sense, Hula Girl claims to be one of those too. She had never been to the island before and after finishing up with Hula Girl she wasn’t sure what to do next, so I offered to show her around abit.

The next thing I knew we were in a volleyball match together, and having a great time. Isabel is fast and agile and strong, just like me, and we are making a great team.”

What happens when an island guardian and a superheroine meet? Well, as we can see in this picture from Usagiforehead, they play volleyball together. ;)

For quite some time now Jurgen and I have talked about how Ember and Isabel would likely become good friends very quickly if they ever met. Well, his stories finally brought Isabel to the islands, so this seemed a great time to finally make that happen. :). They definitely look good together, and I agree with Ember, I think they’d make a great team, with their skill and prowess complimenting each other nicely. Isabel really takes the spotlight in this picture as she jumps up to get the incoming ball. You gotta love that determined and confident look in her eye, and how her posing really captures her jumping up. The way her clothes flare out gives a great feeling of her reaching that moment where she is just starting ti come back down from jumping up, a very nice touch. Ember seems to be enjoying the company of her new friend, and doesn’t seem concerned that she’ll be able to get the ball. All in all, I’d say a good start to a good friendship. :)
