Mora has finally caught on to the tone shift the comic is taking.
I really liked the "slice of life" style Las Lindas had. But... I think what we have going forward will be great too.
Mora's a tough girl. I know she can handle it. She will always find a way to keep her farm a good home.

Just when you think you've got a handle on things, life winds up and hurls a curve-ball through your window.
Though honestly, I think Mora's accepted that Minos is a demigod. But having her farm not entirely under her own thumb anymore thanks to Samantha telling her what to do? THAT might stick in her craw.
Also, I wonder if she's ever gotten around to processing Din and Jin, yet?

For real, what has she done to prove herself a serious force or credible threat of any kind? She went down after one kick from Rachael, pulled a stupid stunt that nearly got Rachael killed and would've ended Minos if he weren't invincible, and got publicly put in her place by one sexually charged call from Ambar when she tried pulling her ridiculous ominous g-man routine on Mora. She's clearly an incompetent newbie putting up a tough front. Who honestly gives half a fuck what she says anymore?
That call from Ambar more or less doomed the character because that means if she makes her own decision and it doesn't fall in line with what Ambar wants it's going to be immediately stopped. Chalo really should have used that last couple of panels to imply that Sam is capable of and willing to stand up against Ambar or something similar, because as she is right now she might as well not be there lol
Of course, we shouldn't forget this isn't a solo project, there's a whole other writer to consider who's responsible for a lot of what's wrong. Still, yeah, it's amazing how badly they keep fumbling this. More and more, we can see how their epic superhero tale that I'm sure we're meant to believe was totes planned this way from the beginning is just something they're slapping together as they go to keep from having to end a comic that was literally supposed to have ended several years ago.
Didn't Ambar literally just put the kibosh on Sam's whole schtick on the two pages immediately prior to this?
Also, Mora's never even seen Din and Jin. Who at this point might as well not be characters anymore, and kinda barely were to begin with. Hell, I don't even know whether they're still present, given I don't think we've seen them at all since the big porn page where Miles first fucked Geecku.

Yeah, honestly, at this point I'm calling bullshit if she's NOT a villain or they try to put some positive spin on all the shady, creepy, unhinged shit she's done and said.
Oh wait, I guess they kinda already do the latter to an extent, I get the feeling we're still supposed to find her quirky, charming and wise.

It's really hard to tell. There was a quote early on where she basically changed the rules of a contest to work in Mora's favor and Alej said "You can't do that" and her coldly replied with something like 'That has never, in all my life, been true" which has a strong scent of a massive ego and arrogance, but we've never really followed up on that and she never suffers for it.
It's a very similar thing to what Lorena has going right now, where if you go back through that story all the bad stuff us easily traced back to her and she's never going to actually have any punishment or character digging with it. If anything Ambar was probably in her tower or whatever getting off to the idea of Alej having a mental breakdown that she ultimately watered the seeds for.
