Yeah, I just bet they're an interesting bunch even to a millennia-old kami. A modelocked kitsune, a volcano dragon, and a quetz. It'd be something he's never seen the likes of before, and when you're that old, "novel" always catches your attention.
So proper hospitality, and everyone figures out their next move. The whole situation is deeply sus but I don't think they have a choice but to play along... for now. There are a lot of questions that need answering, and soon, about the kaiju kitsune and his... meat puppet.
