Artison took off his usual coat and changed his shirt, then he double checked the straps on his mechanical leg before walking out again. He met up with Mira in these clean clothes, and she showed up with a more loose and flowing shirt again. Loretta was standing at the doors to see them off, but, as the two walked out, she started to follow behind.
Artison stopped at this and looked back at her, "Umm.. was something forgotten?"
"No, not really." Loretta said with a chuckle, "I am in need down at my ship for a bit. I was called to train new recruits, and thought I could go with you guys."
"Alrighty, we'll walk with you..." Artison said, but a smirk grew upon his face. "...So long as you can keep up." Then quickly, The red wolf ran for the edge and jumped over the railing. His feet, both the metal and normal one, landed on a railing slid across it, and then jumped on to a bridge down the railing was going over. Artison looked back up to Mira with a smile, but realized Loretta wasn't up there beside her. There was a thump farther up the bridge, and Artison saw Loretta looking down at him with a smile and hands on her hips.
"Hah, shouldn't be too hard. " Loretta said, "Seems that iron leg still slows you down, Brother."
The two started running up the bridge, but then a large orange ring opened up before them, and then an image of the front balcony.
Mira stepped through it and looked to them with a smile, "You both do know I can just use this, right?"
Loretta was about to speak, but stopped herself for a moment, then she looked over to Artison, "She does have a point... but do we want her using this?"
Artison thinks on this, "It is more efficient, but we are wanting to show her more of the world she hasn't yet to explore." He turned to Mira, "If I may, could you not teleport? At least for now?"
Mira nodded, "Just be sure to not do that kind of stuff. I can climb well enough, but the jumping, sliding, swinging, and other stuff I'm afraid to do."
The two nod and then they all walked as group Mira and Loretta took the lead as the walked along the bridges and scaffolding, and Artison followed behind, keeping up as he would explaining more of the city above. Mira would listen, and look to a lot of these buildings, that were pointed out and discussed, but she was always more focused on specific parts of the buildings they would walk by.
"Why are there so few trees out here?" Mira asked, "I've seen about one or two on top or on the sides of some of these buildings."
"Well, we've only got so much space out here, so we just make do with what we have." Artison said, "Plant life is often a luxury around here. Usually the richest people will have a garden on their property."
"Is everywhere like this?" Mira said as her ears lowered, "It sounds near nightmarish, especially with how hot things can get."
"Kind of? The higher up you are, the colder things get, it balances out." Loretta says, "Besides, Pyreheart Wolves aren't bothered much by heat at all."
"It still just feels off, not seeing as many trees" Mira looked back to a lonely tree that was on someone's balcony, "It doesn't feel like a forest."
"We have those, they are for outside the city though." Artison said, "And a good thing too. The wood is needed from the dead trees, and the live ones keep our air fresh and safe to breath."
"Could we go to one of these though?" Mira asked, "I can barely remember what one looks like out here, beside what is in some of the books I can't read."
"Maybe another time." Loretta said, "For now, I got troops to train." She started to move faster, "Come on, my ship is just up ahead, wait till you see the dry dock."
