Basically, you need to warm up before going after your top prospect. Resumes get better with every revision and rework. Interviews become less nerve-racking every time you go through a mock interview or a real one. Keep at it!

Only practice on jobs that you have some interest in. These could be your 5th or 6th pick on the list. It is unfair to take up an interview slot from someone who is excited about the job.
