Despite the dizzying variety of types, manufacturers, materials, actions, and applications; it's hard to go wrong with a good shotgun!

For example, a good shotgun should be sized and fitted for the shooter! Regardless of application, if you've got a gun that's too big or too small, your shooting is gonna suffer.
And sure, a shotgun isn't exactly a surgical tool, but firing from the hip is only gonna get you so far.
The intricacies of proper shooting form is a topic of far too much breadth and depth to get into into any real capacity here, but general consensus is that firing both barrels of a double barrel gun simultaneously isn't recommended for most scenarios.
ESPECIALLY if you're a 3'5" Kobold.
