I've started renovating designs and making refs for the main characters of my book series, cat-run.

Fox is a Brazilian fennec fox. Fox is a cat-run captain, and the mentor of Hayley (and later Charlie). Appears early in the very first book. He is spunky and smart, a bit childish at times, but also shown to be a good fighter and mentor.

I changed his design to make him more fennec foxy (my last design made him look like a red fox) although i still wanted to keep him reasonably close to his old design. I didn't colour in his belly, i just changed to colours of his socks. I also completely changed to pallet, making it dimmer and more realistic. It's amazing how bright colours can look when you compare it.

The actual sketch was pretty old, so i presume there's a few anatomy quirks. I did it about a month ago, when i was still making a new style.

If you look closely, you can see that i didn't change his body shape. He doesn't have a big thick mane any more (he has hair instead) but other than that it's pretty the same.
