I used several texture brushes for imitating oil painting. my brushpack is quite old, i can't share it specifically because of copyright, but you can try similar packs

I agree with you. Traditional materials are part of the philosophy of painting, although their physical properties are also amazing. Including the individuality that can only be obtained in reality. I think that it is good to work with traditional materials when you have an idea of ​​color theory and pure knowledge of what exactly you want to draw. And for quick training, digital graphics are much more suitable.
