It's almost like a reflex. Difficult to resist glancing at what the guy in front or behind you is purchasing. He feels a bit bad imagining what all that duct tape's for; he almost wants to ask this kid if it's his first time repairing something in his home, but it would be difficult not to come off as douchy. Probably better to mind his own busin- “It's my first time repairing something in my home hehe!” the deer interrupts his thoughts.
“Oh?!” wolf guy exclaims, slightly embarrassed realizing he got caught staring. He would try and offer a bit of advice, but he's been startled for just enough time that it would be awkward to do so.
“Well good luck!” he smiles as his payment processes.
“You don't happen to have any advice for dealing with a leak in a basement dude?”
Oh boy, now he really feels bad for him. But should he really just flat-out tell him duct tape isn't going to help and that he should save his money for hiring a professional? What if he can't afford one and that's why he wants to try and fix it himself? That brings him back to the time he had learned to deal with that stuff too. He had been lucky someone guided him. Then again, now that he's paid his items and more people are waiting in line, and it's raining outside, he's got to get home, can't wait to do so actually, he doesn't really have time to chat. Wait it's raining outside? That dude's basement is going to be so fucked...
“Look I'll give you my phone number, why don't you call me if you have trouble with it? maybe I can make time to help you out.”
He can see the deer happily accept; they both go their own way.
