I do! I wrote my own lore about it for my Destiny Character! I'm super happy how this turned out!
You are correct! The weapon is a Khovostov 7G-02, a "golden age" rifle that was based on an M4. this one resembles more of a SOPMOD version.
EGLMs *could* fit onto an m4 with a bit of machining and custom fitting! Possible, but not cheap! XD
