I always love it when powers become inconsequential sometimes and skills save the day.
Sadly mainstream comics tend to keep forgetting those mundane skills and go for the cheap power-ups.

Now I remember why this looks familiar. There was a similar but very different scene during the X-Tinction Agenda crossover where Gambit gets out of a bind and frees the rest.
