Nicely done! The facial expression makes me imagine that the dragon has a voice like the late Howard Morris: "This is a really great treasure, don'cha know?"

I like this very much, but just an aside- On YouTube, there are photos of this serpent standing in a couple of feet of water after the 20,000 Leagues etc, was drained and abandoned. What looked funny underwater while the ride was operating looks incredibly creepy in the shallow blackish pond in what looks like a tile-lined pit. I always thought that there was a very narrow dividing line between funny and frightening.

Thank you! And I agree, -taken out of its original context and left in a decrepit state can completely change your reaction to it. Simon Stålenhag explores this concept pretty amazingly in his illustrated book "The Electric State" and it leaves you with a deeply unsettled feeling. I saw the thumbnail and thought "is that what I think it is?" And it was! I used to ride that ride every year when I visited my grandmother in SoCal.

Hah! Well spotted! I have very dim memories of seeing this as a kid but I'd completely forgotten about them until I was presented with this character to work on. What a flashback!
