Shortly after I took the last photo, I was pulling sort of hard on a piece of stuck thread. Then this happened. See those two metal things in the corner? Yeah, they used to be ONE metal thing, namely my needle. -.-

Luckily I found a box of more needles in my mom's sewing basket upstairs. She has way too many pins in there.
