So I'm on my first day off from my new summer job as a secretary and I wanted to record this. I sang this for my voice jury this year and I really like it.
You can WATCH me sing it here:

It's by Brahms
Lyrics:
Der Tag ging regenschwer und sturmbewegt,
Ich war an manch [vergessenem]1 Grab gewesen,
Verwittert Stein und Kreuz, die Kränze alt,
Die Namen überwachsen, kaum zu lesen.
Der Tag ging sturmbewegt und regenschwer,
Auf allen Gräbern fror das Wort: Gewesen.
Wie sturmestot die Särge schlummerten,
Auf allen Gräbern taute still: Genesen.
Translation:
The day was heavy with rain and disturbed by storms;
I was walking among many forgotten graves,
with weathered stones and crosses, the wreaths old,
the names washed away, hardly to be read.
The day was disturbed by storms and heavy with rain;
on every grave froze the words "we were."
The coffins slumbered calmly like the eye of a storm,
and on every grave melted quietly the words: "we were healed."

Cool.
Your German sounds awesome (you'd sure as hell get my German step-dad's attention), and the voice seems to blend in with the piano really well. Say, how long have you been singing? I mean, I know your in some prestigious art academy now, so you must have a long history with music?
The song itself though was enjoyable to listen too, faving
'We're all animals in the end',

HAHA! What's he think of my accent?
I'm in a little University called Indiana University of Pennsylvania. It's only prestigious in it's music education programs, which I am in. So I'll be a high school music teacher in a few more years.
I've been siniging seriously for about 6 years. Classical is what I actually "study" and the rock is just what I like. If you can sing classical you can sing anything.

Hey,
thanks for the response.
I have no real experience in playing an instrument, but I find that, for some reason, I excel when it comes to making a song out of pre made recordings (so I make, techno, dance, trance, and orchestra).
Sometimes, when I get really into making a song, it' as if I can see and feel the music (Ya, I know, I'm probably insane)!
As for your experience with singing, thats impressive. I've only really drifted from one choir to another over the coarse of three years, so I'm not nearly as good as I might like to be.
I started my ZizixMP3 account in the hope that I could become further immersed in the musical side of FA, and learn something on the way!

PS: I should ask him what he thinks of you're accent.
