Veledar rested by the fire, enjoying the heat and comfort that graced his scales. Though it was a bulwark against the cold of the night, it was a pale candle to the warmth from the human held between his paws. Together they admired the distant stars, the souls of dragons looking upon all of Sethera from the heavens, the legends his mother told him when he was small. A gift from Bahamut, the goddess of his kind, who was the most prominent in shaping this world.

Streaks of light raced across the sky, brilliant flashes of cerulean. He thumped his tail as several more joined them, it was not common to observe such a sight, "Now would you look at that." He rumbled, gesturing to them with a claw, "Bahamut's tears, caught in the act, tomorrow will bring great treasure to dragons who behold them."
"Just dragons?" Arcturus asked, gently holding the dragon's paw wrapped around him. "Seems rather unfair don't you think?"
He rolled his eyes, "Knowing Bahamut's fondness for mortals, no doubt she meant for them to have treasures as well." Averting his head he wiggled a wing, "Though a tad more for dragons."
"Here I thought you'd had enough treasure-"
"Please Arcturus." He scoffed, "There is no such thing."
Pressing him close against his scales, the dragon rumbled and dragged the now laughing man to the grass. There he nuzzled at his hair, thumping his tail as they relished in each other's company.

Along the way they'll meet adventurous rogues, loud mouthed dwarven rangers, face off against intimidating dragonesses, battle teleporting spiders, get one's horns stuck in banners and other pride testing challenges. Perhaps when the red dragon finds his stolen treasure, he may have found one along the way thats even greater than the one he lost.
