Hearing rumours about unidentified flying objects stealing animals from the nearby farms, Mighty Mare stakes out these aerodynamic menances to put an end to their thievery.

She stands in an open field, making no attempt to hide herself. Mighty Mare's plan was to be captured by the alien menace, work out their dastardly deeds, and send them back to the galaxy they came from.

An hour passes before a UFO zooms across the night sky. Seeing the stoic mare standing in the field, the UFO emits a beam of light in a cone - a tractor beam - to kidnap Mighty Mare.

This was perfect. Except, Mighty Mare didn't count on one factor - the weight limit.

The UFO made loud clangs and whirring sounds, as the beam attempted to pull in Mighty Mare. But for all its efforts, Mighty Mare never left the ground. Annoyed, she could only watch as the UFO continued to pull her up. Eventually, the effort was too much and the beam stopped right before the UFO crashed into the paddock.

Getting no closer to finding out the aliens' schemes, Mighty Mare decided to call it for a night. Maybe it was just the one UFO after all.

A quick piece done for DeviantART's daily drawing challenge "Ufo". For something that was meant to be a quick drawing, I'm super happy with how this came out. It gives me hope for more high-quality quick drawings in the future :)
